Our principles are based upon offering organic and ethical food and drink where possible. We are able to deliver outstanding quality food with a professional friendly service for all types of catering requirements.

The multi award wining Acorn House, London's first truly eco-friendly training restaurant, has taken some very important first steps in altering the image of the restaurant industry as well as transforming the way in which people eat out. With fresh seasonal menus, a dedication to healthy eating, environmental responsibility and a premium, glamorous appeal, this revolutionary and pioneering new concept offers King's Cross businesses, residents and visitors a unique destination dining experience.

The restaurant is inspired by the classic traditions of bringing the local community together and serving wonderful quality sustainable/organic food and drink in a truly welcoming, comfortable and stylish environment.

Our food is centred on the key elements of health, training, community and environment. We hope that Acorn House continues to be a pioneering force in the restaurant industry, benefiting both the local population and those further afield. The restaurant industry needs to change and our restaurants aim to take one small step towards creating a city and industry capable of sustaining itself. By sharing our beliefs with a young, local workforce, we are hoping to spread that message far and wide. The food at Acorn House proves that you can be environmentally responsible - and still eat exceptionally well.

The Food
Our food is simple, sustainable, seasonal, fresh and uncomplicated and rustic with a European influence. The menu changes monthly and in conjunction with the seasons. All our ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and we monitor modes of transport for delivery.

Wine List
The wine list has a choice of over forty wines. We choose to constantly source and represent small independent winemakers who work closely with indigenous grape varieties and soil types to produce wines that truly reflect the style of the region from which they come. We also aim to source as many organic, biodynamic and carbon neutral wines as possible. The list includes a selection of wines from Europe exploring a range of grape varieties and wine making techniques.

The international wine list is extensive and classic in style and is keenly matched to the menu with a range of aperitifs, sparkling wines and champagnes, half bottles, red, white and dessert wines and some exciting wine specials; offering something for everyone from the novice to the connoisseur.

Training
We pledge to fully train 10 young adults each year in the eco friendly restaurant trade. Selected from the local community, this group will be offered a ground breaking opportunity not only to learn all aspects of the hospitality industry from leading industry experts, but how to run a kitchen that is environmentally aware. Respect for all the elements involved and awareness of the resources used in the provision of food is central to our training ethos.
